My magnetic mould and deckle design is back and ready to work for you. Heavily coated in marine epoxy, each piece (mould and deckle) is buffed to a super smooth finish, and fitted with magnets to gently hold the deckle in place on top of the mould. The basic “student” mould design (flush mount) is truly elevated to a luxurious and long lasting papermaking tool with that thick epoxy coating and magnetic detail. Pretty brilliant, if I do say so myself… The poly screen is heat shrinkable with a hairdryer, and very durable. Pulp just slides off of like a dream, and the thick epoxy edge along the mould gives a beautiful crisp deckled edge to each sheet. Such a joy to use, and should last a lifetime with proper care.

Actual size of the deckle frame on A9, A7, A6, and A2 is slightly smaller to account for the natural deckle edge, and to ensure that finished sheet still fits inside a standard (non-handmade) envelope (Keeping in mind shrinkage rate and those extra wild deckle edges, of course).
